My Rating 91% (Open your Ladbrokes account today)

Ladbrokes is one of the most recognisable names in British betting. Since 1902 the company has been taking bets in one way or another and now enjoys a turnover of over £1.1billion. Nice.

Ladbrokes was the first ever online betting site that I signed up to (I’m not telling you when!) and I’m still betting with them now.

Website Design & Usability 18/20

There’s something a bit ‘old school’ about the look and feel of the Ladbrokes site and it’s not undergone a significant redesign in quite a number of years but it’s still as easy as any other site to get around and to find your bet which is the main thing. One of the nice features is that it displays your favourites on the left hand side, so that you can quickly get to the sports that you bet on most.

Getting to your bets is easy and you can even save your own coupons for future reference. The site is quick and generally appears to cope well during busy periods.

Markets & Odds – 18/20

As one of the best-known and successful High Street bookies you expect Ladbrokes to offer betting on just about every market available and the site doesn’t disappoint. From Winter Olympics to betting on the weather it’s all in there so on that count Ladrokes score full marks.

However, Ladbrokes are rarely the best when it comes to competitive odds. It appears they rely heavily on ‘being Ladbrokes’, for people to place their bets there rather than attempting to offer the best odds. From time to time they will provide the best odds on a given market but there are other sites out there that seem to be more interested in being competitive. With so much online competition and odds comparison sites just a click away I’m sure that in time Ladbrokes will tighten up on this aspect.

Customer Service & Money – 20/20

I’ve never had any issues with Ladbrokes when it comes to settling bets. Opening an account is straight-forward and withdrawals are always prompt. I’ve not experienced any limits on bets either and I guess that’s the advantage of betting with such a big player.

It’s easy to deposit funds into your account with the following payment options available; Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Switch, Delta, Laser, Entropay, Bank Wire, Check, Neteller, Moneybookers, Western Union, PayPal, Ukash.

Promotions & Offers – 15/20

Ladbrokes aren’t the greatest when it comes to promotions and offers. I’ve seldom received any free bets from them but they do occassionally have promotions on. The sign-up bonus may only be £10 but it’s easy to claim and there’s no need to bet through your deposit umpteen times.

Extra Features – 20/20

I can’t think of anything else I would expect from a betting site that you can’t get at Ladbrokes. The jewel in the crown is Ladbrokes TV with sports such as cricket, tennis, football and basketball all available to customers.

On top of that there’s betting calculators, live scores, results, racing form, stats and even a nag me service for the horses.

The site is also available via your mobile so you can bet on the go with Ladbrokes wherever you are.

Summary

The site might look a bit dated but it’s got everything you need and more. If you’re a serious punter you’ll get better odds 9 times out of 10 elsewhere but there are few bookies out there with a better reputation. If you want to be safe in the knowledge that your bets and money are in good hands however, then I’d say go with Ladbrokes.

Customer service seems to be tip top and with all those extra features it’s worth signing up and having them in your betting portfolio. Click here to open your account and Claim a £10 free bet
