There are players in the squad older than him which will never work at the top level and I can see them being out of the top 4 this season

I don't think they'll be out of the top 4 this season but he needs to move on a few players. Talk of Drogba and Anelka leaving, they should get rid of some of the other older players as well such as Lampard and Ferreira.
