Team GB are 4/5 to deliver their target of three medal according to bookies William Hill, who also offer 11/5 that team GB win none or just one medal. The odds suggest that German will top the medal table at 6/4 with hosts Canada 3/1 and the USA 4/1.

"Team GB has not had the easiest time getting to the Olympics but we certainly feel that the target of three medals is very achievable," said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.
