Madrid Masters/Frys.com Open

The El Encin Golf Hotel is the venue this week for the Madrid Masters where world number one and defending champion Luke Donald headlines the field.

Going with

Thomas Aiken@40/1 - Already bagged the Spanish Open this season and comes in with a 30th last week.
Oliver Wilson@60/1 - Is finally get back to some form which got him into a Ryder Cup team, has finished 21st in his last 2 events.
Marc Warren@75/1 - In great form including a 5th last week at the Dunhill Links.
Scott Jamieson@125/1 - In the 3 events played in Spain this season Jamieson has finished them all in the top 12.

Tiger Woods is the big draw for this weeks Frys.com Open. He is now 51st in the world rankings and now has to play some of these lesser events to get into some of the bigger events(outside of the majors).

My dosh is on,

Patrick Cantlay@50/1 - This star amateur has performed brilliantly whenever he has played the pro events this year.
Hunter Haas@60/1 - Comes into this after a top ten last week and this course will suit his game down to the ground.
Nick O'Hern@75/1 - Again is another who should go well here after a 23rd placing last week
Bud Cauley@75/1 - Like Cantlay, Bud is just starting out but impressive performances in some tough events this season means that this price is great value.
Ryuji Imada@90/1 - Ryuji was 6th here last year and has had good finishes in other events played in California this season.

In Madrid Lee Slattery(world no 328) leads by a shot, don't think we will see him there on Sunday. Warren and Aiken are -4 which at the moment is 7 behind. Oliver Wilson was -10 but threw away 4 shots in four holes and ended the day -7.

In America, good starts from Cauley,Cantley and Haas. Tiger(meow) is not out of it but didn't make the impact many expected.

Tonights bet, Cantlay to defeat Levin

Lee Slattery held on to capture the Madrid Masters.

Aiken was 5th whilst Warren and Wilson were in a tie 18th.

In America, Cauley is three back going into the final day.

Also gone with Steele to beat Jobe tonight in a match bet

Cauley came 3rd at the Fry's and Steele won his match by about 4 shots last night.

So overall a profitable week.
