Andalucian Masters/Asia Pacific Classic/Shanghai Master

3 events this week in the world of golf, but the one I am concentrating on is in Spain again. Valderamma, (the course where the 1997 Ryder Cup was played) is the setting this week. Notoriously tight layout where the winning score from G-Mac last year was -3.

Gone with,

Thomas Aiken@28/1 - T18 last year, loves Spain this year having won the national open and finishing 5th in the Madrid Masters and at last week's Castello Masters.
Ross Fisher@35/1 - T14 last year, and will contend this week if he can get that putting working as the rest of his game is usually top notch, likes tough examinations as past US Open/Open finishes have proved.
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano@35/1 - 2nd last week to Garcia, has shown great form after recovering from injury which kept him out for large parts of the season.
Richie Ramsay@75/1 - Although this is his first appearance here, the tight should suit his style of game. T3rd last week.

Will have match bets on the other events.

Day 1 at Valderrama and Richie Ramsay leads

He shot a 65, -6 but that was -8 at one point.

He has a 2 shot lead from Ross Fisher .

Overall only 7 players are under par. Just hope these two can keep it going. Few good players lurking though, Sergio(again),Jimenez,Kaymer,Hanson and F.Molinari.

Castano +2 and Aiken had a disaster with a 81.

Had two match bets, one win.

Day 2 at Valderrama is almost complete.

4 players under par now with Jimenez struggling at the last so most likely 3 players will be under at the end of the day.

Richie Ramsay still leads  Shot 72 which isn't to bad looking at some of the other scores. He has a 2 shot lead over Frenchman Gregory Havret on is on -3. Sergio is -2 and will take some stopping I think over the weekend.

Fisher had a disaster, shot 79 and is +4 which realistically is still not out of it. Castano was +1 for the day and +3 overall so is in ideal position to grab a top 5 placing over the last 2 days.

Ramsay blew it at the 16th in the final round, lost his ball whilst tied for the lead.

Oh well. Two weeks in a row a profit has been made
