Russia's odds were 4/7 last night when I checked. Now they're 10/11. Does anyone know what has caused this sharp rise?!? I can't see anyone but Russia winning myself. £££££££

Hey Gambling God,
Firstly welcome aboard!
Secondly, I've been watching Sky Sports News today and they been cranking it up big style. Beckham did a press conference and apparently the bookies seen a ton of money coming in for England's bid and they came in to 2nd Favs.
Then news came that Putin wasn't going to be 'puttin in' (Sorry!) an appearance for Russia. Claims were that he didn't want to be associated with failure. That's the spin anyway.
Also been a lot of talk on how London2012 Olympic bid swung a few voters on the final presentation and there's a belief that they can do it again.
Looks like the tide is turning. And England have to be worth a wee bet.

I'm thinking the same, Beckham seems to be quite persuasive and could be the key to the bid.
Personally, I'd rather visit a foreign country for a World Cup, but it would be great to have a World Cup back on home soil and might give us the only chance to maybe win it again!

They were 9/4 when I put more money on them yesterday

England didnt have a prayor. Sepp Blatter doesnt like England, he hosted 1st world cup in Africa, now wants to host 1st world cup in east europe and help develop teh country. Russia getting new stadiums, train service, hotels, it will be a developed country after the world cup has been there.
Qatar winning 2022 is a joke.

FIFA want to give it to 'developing countries' so long as they have a few quid and bung Herr Blatter and his cronies a few quid on the sly.
I can only say, that the tournament in South Africa was great while I was out there, but the football and atmosphere at the games was shit! Annoying vuvuzelas, empty stadia, dreadful matches aplenty. Look forward to the same in Qatar with burning temperatures, a team qualified who nobody has ever heard of in the hosts. It's all a disgrace and as you can tell, really pissed off that I won't see a World Cup in this country (or the rest of the UK) during my lifetime. Blatter and his cronies have a lot to answer for.
ps. Football for all, in Qatar where homosexulaity is illegal. No alcohol either. Gonna be a right laugh.
