Liverpool are in fantastic form ahead their meeting with Leeds United, boasting eight wins and two draws from their last 10 games in all competitions, and have won their last three on home soil, scoring 10 goals. The Reds beat Burton Albion 5-0 in the second round, Derby County 3-0 in the third round and Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the last-16 to make it this far in the EFL Cup, and have a real affinity with the competition given they’ve at least made the semi-finals in the last two campaigns. Liverpool are 2/7 with Bet365 to win against Leeds.

As for their opponents, Leeds United are enjoying a real resurgence under manager Garry Monk, coming off the back of four wins from five in all competitions ahead of this week’s meeting with Liverpool. The Whites are enjoying a bright start to the season in the Championship, and have come through four close rounds in the EFL Cup to reach the final eight. Leeds United are 11/1 with SkyBet to win against Liverpool at Anfield.

United beat Fleetwood Town in the first round on penalties before wins over Luton Town in the second round, Blackburn Rovers in the third round and Norwich City in the last-16 see them 180 minutes away their first EFL Cup final 1997.

Big Tip

Despite Leeds United’s resurgence and impressive recent form ahead of Tuesday clash, Liverpool should have enough to come out on top. Jurgen Klopp’s side won’t dominate the game given they’re missing a couple of key playmakers from the squad and will be met with a defensive outlook from Leeds, but at Anfield they have been consistent this season and should have enough quality to make it count. As a result, Liverpool are 2/7 with Bet365 to win against Leeds United in Tuesday’s EFL Cup quarter-final clash.
