Arsenal v Tottenham Betting Preview: Gunners to get revenge in the North London derby

Arsenal welcome bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium in Sunday’s North London derby, and are confident of ending a four-game winless run against the visitors given the contrasting form between the two sides.

Arsenal are the in-form side between the two ahead of Sunday afternoon’s meeting, boasting nine wins from their last 10 in all competitions. The Gunners have beaten formidable at the Emirates Stadium too, winning four of their last five, conceding just two goals, so an impotent Tottenham outfit could well struggle to breach such a solid backline. Currently third in the Premier League table with 23 points from 10 games, Arsenal could go top this weekend if they beat Tottenham, ending a four-game winless run against their rivals in the process, and Bet365 are giving odds of 19/20 for Arsenal to win against Spurs.

Tottenham Hotspur, however, have the bragging rights, having won one and drawn three of their last four Premier League head-to-heads with the Gunners. Spurs held Arsenal home and away in the division last season, but come into Sunday’s clash off the back of poor form. Tottenham have gone five games without a win in all competitions, scoring just two goals, and could well come unstuck to their rivals as a result. Currently fifth in the Premier League with 20 points, a win for Tottenham could see them go above Arsenal in third, but the lack of wins this season might see them nervous at the Emirates Stadium.

Big Tip
Arsenal are the favourites to win Sunday’s North London derby given their superior form compared to winless Tottenham. The Gunners have particular been solid on home soil and have a fantastic defensive record that will fancy their chances of quelling a goal-shy Spurs side who can’t afford to go a sixth game without a win in all competitions. Arsenal could go top of the Premier League table this weekend with a win against their rivals, and should have enough to edge victory at the Emirates Stadium. As a result, Arsenal are 19/20 with Bet365 to win against Tottenham Hotspur.
