Manchester United v West Ham Betting Previews: Two teams United in a draw

Manchester United and West Ham go head-to-head in the last of the FA Cup quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon.

Manchester United v West Ham

FA Cup Quarter-Final

Kick-off: 16:00

Live on BT Sport 2 / BT Sport 2 HD

The home side head into this game on the back of consecutive defeats, following what look like a revival of their season. A 1-0 defeat at West Brom last weekend was followed by a 2-0 Europa League defeat by Liverpool on Thursday night.

The defeats will have deflated the confidence that was built up in a four game winning run in all competitions. The Red Devils have won five of their last six matches in the FA Cup. Maybe more tellingly United have not lost to West Ham in the last ten meetings in all competitions.

Louis van Gaal’s men are still in the midst of an injury crisis, but they can be backed at odds of 11/1 with Coral for a win in this clash.

West Ham are enjoying a rich vein of form at the moment and actually one place above United in the Premier League table. The Hammers are currently six games unbeaten in all competitions and have won their last four games.

Slaven Bilic’s team have become specialists at winning at difficult away grounds, winning at the Emirates, the Etihad Stadium and Anfield, among others this season. The Hammers will head to Old Trafford in confident mood. You can back Slaven Bilic’s side for the win at odds of 16/5 with BetVictor.

French international playmaker Dimitri Payet has been the star of the show for West Ham this season. The former-Marseille ace scored twice and produced an assist in the last round at Blackburn, as the Hammers hammered Rovers 5-1. Payet looks a decent bet to be an anytime scorer in this clash at odds of 37/10 at 888 Sport.

Big Tip

The visitors arrive at Old Trafford in high spirits and will no doubt fancy their chances of making the last four. However, I do believe that the home side will have enough about them to claim a draw, which is available at odds of 13/5 with Bet365.
