Spanish giants Real Madrid host in-form Italian outfit Roma in the last 16 Champions League second leg on Tuesday night.

The home side head into the second leg of this Champions League last 16 tie with a 2-0 lead from the first leg. The win carried on Los Blancos’ formidable record in the competition, as they have won six of their seven games in the Champions League this season.

The side from the Spanish capital form has been helped by the fact they have also kept clean sheets in six of their last seven games in Europe. At the other end they have also been prolific in this competition, scoring at least two goals in their last three appearances in Europe’s elite competition.

Los Blancos look heavy favourites to win this clash and are available at odds of 2/5 to win this clash with Bet365.

Roma’s form in the Champions League has been completely opposite to their form in Serie A. The Giallorossi has won seven consecutive games in the Italian top-flight, as the arrival of Luciano Spalletti has inspired an upturn in fortunes.

Those seven domestic victories were interrupted by that defeat in the first leg, but it failed to stop the marauding Romans. The Giallorossi’s form in the Champions League has been poor and the side the eternal city have won just one of their previous 12 games in this competition.

The Giallorossi have also been poor in defence in this season’s competition, having conceded at least two goals in five out of their last six games in the Champions League.

If you fancy Roma causing a shock at the Bernabeu they can be backed at odds of 15/2 at Bet365 to win in the Spanish capital.

Big Tip

I really cannot see Real Madrid slipping up in this game and I believe there will be goals. For that result my big tip is to go with the home win and over 2.5 goals scored available at odds of 4/5 with Paddy Power.
