Hull managed to secure this replay largely courtesy of an outstanding goalkeeping display from Eldin Jakupovic. The Tigers form has not been great though in recent weeks, with three draws in their last five games in all competitions.
That relative poor run of form has seen the side from Humberside drop out of the automatic play-off position in the second tier and they are currently third in the table. Their last five games have produced under 2.5 goals. In fact three have ended in goalless draws.
Scoring goals seems to be a problem for the Tigers, who can be backed at odds of 7/2 with Bet365 to maul the Gunners.
Arsenal’s season has slightly hit the buffers of late. The Gunners are now eight points behind in the title race and have failed to win any of their last three league games.
A draw last time out against arch-rivals Spurs has made it very difficult for Arsene Wenger’s side to win the Premier League title, so retaining the FA Cup looks to be their best hope of picking-up silverware this season.
As you can imagine the Gunners odds are pretty short odds in this clash and they are available at odds of 10/11 with Coral to win this one.
Hull are pretty sturdy at the back, so the draw available at odds of 11/4 at Bet365 may not be the worst bet in the world.
I can see this game being a slog for Arsenal, but I am backing Arsene Wenger’s side to just get through. My big tip for this unpredictable tie is under 2.5 goals scored, as Hull have specialised in low scoring games of late. That can be backed at odds of 33/40 with Sportingbet.
