Tottenham v Arsenal
Live on BT Sport 1 / BT Sport 1 HD / BT Sport Ultra HD
Tottenham head into this crucial north London derby three points behind league leaders Leicester, but three above arch-rivals Arsenal. Mauricio Pochettino’s side know that a win will be enough to move them to the summit of the Premier League table, at least for a few hours anyway.
Spurs had recorded six straight league wins prior to their trip to West Ham on Wednesday night, where they suffered a 1-0 defeat. Tottenham have won their last three Premier League games at White Hart Lane and can be backed at odds of 7/5 with Paddy Power for the win.
Midfielder Dele Alli is expected to return to the Spurs starting line-up, after only coming on as a substitute against West Ham. The youngster has scored seven Premier League goals for Pochettino’s team this season and is a decent anytime scorer bet at odds of 14/5 with StanJames.
The visitors have now suffered consecutive Premier League defeats. Following a 3-2 defeat Manchester United on Sunday with a 2-1 home defeat against Swansea on Wednesday night. The defeat against Swansea has severely dented the Gunners title chances.
Arsene Wenger’s side are now six points behind league leaders Leicester and cannot afford to lose this game at their arch-rivals. The Gunners can be backed at odds of 11/5 with Totesport.
The draw may not be a bad bet, as more north London derbies have finished in draws than any other result in the previous 47 Premier League meetings.
I have to say I really fancy a Spurs win in this clash, which is available at odds 7/5 with Paddy Power.
