Juventus v Bayern Munich Betting Preview: European giants to cancel each other out

Two of the giants of European football clash on Tuesday night, as Italian champions Juventus host German champions Bayern Munich in the last-16 of the Champions League.

Italian champions Juventus finished second in their group behind Manchester City after a terrible start to their campaign. The Bianconeri have since recovered in fantastic style and had claimed 15 straight wins in Serie A until their goalless draw with Bologna on Friday night.

The Italian side may go into this clash in good form, a draw apart, but the Bianconeri have won just one of the last six meetings with Bayern and the German side have won the last three games between these two teams. However if you fancy Max Allegri’s side for the win they can be backed at odds of 21/10 with William Hill.

Bayern Munich have been in dominant form this season once again. Pep Guardiola’s side won five of their six group games and have been just as strong in the Bundesliga topping the German top-flight this season.

The Bavarians have been prolific in front goal this season, as they were the top scorers in the group stage with 19 goals. Guardiola’s side are also the joint top scorers in the Bundesliga scoring 56 goals this season. The Bavarians can be backed at odds of 13/8 with Sportingbet.

Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski is second top scorer in the Champions League this season with seven goals and the Polish international is odds of 9/2 with Coral to be the first goal scorer.

For me the draw could be the way to go in this clash. Both teams are strong and this could be a tight clash. The draw could be the bet to go for and that’s odds of 23/10 at Sportingbet.

Big Tips

There are two big tips for this clash for me. One is to back the draw at odds of 23/10 with Sportingbet.

The other rather tempting bet to go for is under 2.5 goals, which can be backed at odds of 11/17 at 888 Sport.
