Arsenal v Chelsea
Kick-off 4.00PM 24th January 2016
Live on Sky Sports 1/ Sky Sports 1 HD
Arsenal face a real test of their title credentials when they host reigning champions Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The home side are only above Leicester on goal difference, having drawn their last two top-flight matches.
However, Arsene Wenger’s side have to be fancied for a rare win over Chelsea and are odds of 21/20 with SkyBet to claim a victory.
Arsene Wenger’s side have failed to beat the Blues in the last eight meetings, but the Gunners have a formidable home record, having won seven of their last eight top-flight games at the Emirates. The north London side have also kept clean sheets in their last three home games against Chelsea.
Chelsea may be struggling near the bottom of the Premier League, but are actually unbeaten in six Premier League games. They did suffer a close shave last time out though, when the Blues needed a controversial 98th minute John Terry equaliser against Everton to rescue a 3-3 draw.
The Blues have been relatively prolific and scored two or more goals in five of their last six games and have kept clean sheets in six out of the last seven meetings with Arsenal in all competitions. The Blues have big players, but are unlikely winners of this and are odds of 3/1 at Bet365 to claim a win.
This game is a difficult one to call, but I doubt that this going to be a goal fest, as Chelsea will come for a point and look to hit the Gunners on the break, which will make it hard for the home side to break through.
Big Tip For me this will be a low-scoring game, so the bet to go for is a draw with under 2.5 goals scored which is available at odds of 16/5 with William Hill.
