Liverpool hosts arch-rivals Manchester United in a usually fiery North West derby at Anfield on Sunday. Despite numerous injuries the home side are slight favourites to record a victory.
Liverpool v Manchester United

The home side are experiencing a rather inconsistent run of form of late in the top-flight, winning three, drawing four and losing three of their last ten matches under Jurgen Klopp.
Last time out the side from Merseyside drew 3-3 with Arsenal at Anfield, with Brazilian Roberto Firmino scoring a brace and Joe Allen grabbing a dramatic equaliser on 90 minutes.
For parts of the Arsenal game the Reds looked good going forward and Firmino looked a constant threat to the Gunners backline. Despite a catalogue of injuries, the Reds are still a team capable of pulling a result out of the hat and they are odds of 7/5 at William Hill to win this clash.
Manchester United have also enjoyed an inconsistent run of form in the Premier League of late. Last time out the Red Devils drew 3-3 with Newcastle, as former-Everton star Wayne Rooney scored a brace. The England captain’s efforts proved to come to very little though, as a 90th minute strike from Paul Dummett gave the Magpies a point.
United boss Louis van Gaal has been heavily criticised this season for his team’s perceived ‘boring’ style of play. However, they have been involved in some relatively high-scoring away games, having conceded at least two goals in their last three away games in the top-flight.
This could be a tricky one for the Red Devils, who are odds of 5/2 to claim the win at Bet365.
For me this game promises goals, as neither of these teams has been that solid in defence of late and both possess in-form forwards.
My tip for this game is Liverpool to win and both teams to score which is available at odds of 17/4 at Coral.
