Premier League. Kick off: 3pm
No matter how long you study this one it’s hard to find some value. Chelsea are my pick for winning the league this season and when they’re at home against a newly-promoted side I can’t make a case for anything other than a home win. They’re not worth backing at 2/9 so it’s a case of finding value elsewhere.
Chelsea have kept seven clean sheets in their last eight Premier League games at Stamford Bridge. A win to nil today boosts the odds to a much tidier 9/10 with 888 Sport.
The Blues were very impressive in a 3-1 win at another side that’s just come up from the Championship, Burnley, on Monday but in typical Mourinho fashion they shut the game down once they went a couple of goals in front. Mourinho appears to have more potent attacking options than last season and in Diego Costa could well have signed the event top scorer in the league. He netted in his first league start and is 10/3 to score first today.
I’m not a fan of betting in goalscorer markets and when you consider that Chelsea have not won any of their last nine matches by more than two goals it makes goalscorer bets even less appealing. My advice would be to steer clear despite the apparent attraction to goals markets today.
