Arsenal look to have pulled off one of the transfers of the Summer with the capture of Alexis Sanchez for a reported £35m.
The Chilean striker moves from Bercelona after a fine showing in the 2014 World Cup where he netted twice against Australia and Brazil. Prior to the tournament he netted twice when Chile defeated England at Wembley.
The 25 year old made 141 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 47 – a ratio of exactly one goal every three games, although many of those appearance were off the bench. He scored 19 in 34 appearance (7 as a sub) for Barca last season – an improved ratio of a goal every 1.8 matches.
At that strike rate Bet365′s odds of 5/6 on Sanchez to score over 11.5 league goals looks like a good bet assuming he’ll be the focal point of Arsene Wenger’s attack for the majority of games next season.
