Wimbledon Tennis: Day 8 Predictions

M Raonic 4/5 Bet365 to beat Kei Nishikori  – The Canadian’s serve should go a long way to helping Milos win this match up with Nishikori. He should get plenty of cheap points and hold serve comfortably. Kei has struggled in the early rounds and although he has sneaked through I am sure Raonic will get more opportunities to break and if any sets go to tie-breaks then the Canadian can use his strength. Nishikori though has had an impressive season and can counter attack on any poor Raonic play which shows in his H2H Kei leads Milos 2-0

F Lopez 6/5 Bet365 to beat S Wawrinka – Lopez has won 12 of his 13 grass court matches in 2014 and is obviously in very good form. Last round at Wimbledon he beat big serving John Isner in 4 sets and showed glimpses of his all round grass pedigree. His strong serve and ability to volley will help him mix it up against Stan Wawrinka. The Swiss has done well to get this far and eased through against Istomin, but Lopez is a bigger challenge. H2H it is 3-2 to the Swiss and some tight matches have been played, but none on grass. I think Lopez has the bigger pedigree on grass and will love being the underdog
