Here’s 3 possible upsets for day 1 at Wimbledon
Dan Evans 11/8 Bet365 to defeat Andrey Kuznetsov. The crowd will get behind Dan and hopefully he will be very motivated to do well. Is more than capable of competing at this level and Russian Kuznetsov is more suited to clay court tennis. Both players are inconsistent, but I think Evans is a big price in front of his home supporters.
Alisa Kleybanova 2/1 Bet365 to defeat L Davis – The American is higher ranked and a very solid player. Kleybanova though reached the 4th round here before her illness and has the power to outhit Davis on grass. A lot will depend on how the Russian is fitness wise but she loves Wimbledon and I think she is a big price against the American. However if Davis gets an early lead she has the quality to keep it.
Caroline Garcia 11/10 Bet365 to defeat Sara Errani – The confidence cant be high with Errani on a singles court at the moment, especially on grass. Her serve will not be a problem and only her experience may count in this match up. Garcia has disappointed since her breakthrough in Bogota, but I think her serve could be effective on grass and is a former semi-finalist in junior Wimbledon. Garcia won her 1st match at SW19 last year over Zheng and won 5 games in round 2 with Serena Williams. I expect a good display again.
