Of course we all remember Stakhovsky’s big win over Roger Federer at last years Wimbledon….. but what has he done since. not much!! He has been playing a mixture of Challenger and ATP level matches but nothing to say he has what it takes to defeat Kevin Anderson. Maybe the grass will reignite his confidence, after all there are not many players who can defeat Roger over 5 sets on the green stuff.
Big serving Anderson should adapt quickly to grass and took out Brit Dan Evans easily in the last round. His serve will be hard to break and I am sure he will get his chance to break. Otherwise it could be tie-breaks and we all know they could be anyone’s. Could be a close match but I think the South African will be more motivated at Queens Club. H2H its 2-0 to Anderson, they met in 2012 here at Queens, Stakhovsky retired when leading 4-3 in the 3rd set! can’t remember the exact reason why!
