Lazio v Juventus – Saturday 25th January 7:45pm Live on BT Sport
League leaders Juventus travel to the capital, for the second time this week, to face Lazio looking to maintain their large advantage over second placed Roma at the top of Serie A.
The home team had a poor start to this season but have put some good form together of late and currently sit in ninth place in the league table, albeit a huge 28 points behind their opposition.
They’re unbeaten in their last four matches and they possess a great goalscorer in German Miroslav Klose who is always a threat in front of goal.
Juventus have already visited the Stadio Olimpico this week, losing 1-0 to Roma in the Coppa Italia. That was their first defeat in seven outings, so they’ll be hoping to get back to winning ways in the eternal city on Saturday night.
They are in a strong position to retain the league title (scudetto) this season, which is hardly surprising with a strikeforce consisting of Carlos Tevez, Fernando Llorente and Mirko Vucinic, with Fabio Quagliarella and Sebastian Giovinco waiting in the wings just in case.
Those attacking players almost guarantee goals for Juve, and with a supply from midfield players such as Arturo Vidal, Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba, you can see why they have scored a lot of goals so far this season.
It should be an interesting match. Lazio are generally strong at home and won’t often be available at 9/2 (William Hill) to win a game at the Stadio Olimpico. However, Juve are like a machine in Serie A. With just one blip so far this season, away at Fiorentina, they look unstoppable. The best price on an away win is 3/4 (Boylesports) which represents a good value bet.
