G Dimitrov v R Nadal over 3.5 sets 11/10 – Great looking match for the neutral. Nadal the heavy favourite has a 3-0 H2H with Grigor, however the Bulgarian has managed to win a set in each match, all best of three sets. He will get a chance if playing his best and as the underdog can really show what he can do. Wawrinka’s win over Djokovic will give Grigor confidence that he too could cause a massive upset.
A Radwanska +5.5 games 4/5 Bet365 v Vika Azarenka – Aga has won only 3 of her 16 matches against Vika. She is often overpowered. I am hoping she can stay with the world number 2 and play with huge accuracy to try and deal with the power of Vika and use it to her advantage. She will need to day positive and believe she can win. Azarenka is going for a 3rd title in a row in Melbourne and has been hitting hard and hitting winners. Will be tough for Radwanska but worth a punt
A Murray v R Federer over 40.5 games 4/6 Bet365 – The Melbourne night match is set to be a cracker between two very popular stars. Federer has won the title many times before, Murray has reached the final 3 of the last 4 years. Federer now has Edberg in his camp and looks very good, Murray still has Lendl doing the coaching and hopes his back will hold out against Rogers skill and shot making. I think at least 4 sets and expect them to be close.
Halep v Cibulkova over 21.5 games 5/6 Bet365 – Tough match for both and nerves will play a part. Both have had excellent tournaments so far and in the last round both took out former world number ones. I think we could see 3 sets and a few momentum swings
