AC Milan vs Roma – Monday 16th December 7:45pm – Live on BT Sport
There’s a big game in Serie A on Monday evening as Roma travel to the San Siro to face AC Milan.
Usually, this would be a top of the table clash. But while Roma find themselves enjoying a good season and sit in second place in Serie A, but AC Milan are enduring a tougher time languishing down in 12th position.
Despite the fortunes of the two sides so far this season, the bookmakers still make the rossoneri favourites for this clash at 11/8 (Ladbrokes), with Roma available at 23/10 (StanJames, BetVictor) and the draw is a best price of 5/2 (BetVictor).
Mario Balotelli is the spearhead of the Milan side. If he plays well, then his team will have a decent chance of winning this game. That said, they do also have influential players with the likes of Brazilian duo Kaka and Robinho who, if on the top of their game, can be match-winners.
But they have yet to get going in the league, will this be the turning point of their season?
Meanwhile, Roma have been enjoying a great season so far. After a magnificent 10-game winning streak to start the season, they went four games without winning (although drew all four) and won last time out at home to Sampdoria to remain unbeaten in 2013/14.
Francesco Totti remains a key figure in the Roma side, but he is more likely to play a cameo role from the bench as the likes of Gervinho, Adem Ljajic and Mattia Destro offer the goal threat from the start.
Gervinho has been a revelation at the Stadio Olimpico since his arrival from Arsenal and he looks a decent price at 8/1 (Spreadex) to open the scoring in this one.
