Betting Preview: Nantes v Monaco

Nantes v Monaco – 8pm kick-off – Live on BT Sport

It’s 5th against 3rd  in Ligue 1 as big-spenders Monaco travel to Nantes to try and put some pressure on runaway leaders Paris Saint Germain.

Nantes have had a good start to the season though and sit only three points behind their opponents. They have lost just once in their last seven matches and that against 2nd placed Lille, so it should make for a really good game. Before the international break, they ran out 3-0 winners away at Bordeaux.

Having splashed the cash in the summer, Monaco might have thought they would be closer to PSG than they currently are, eight points back from the capital club. They have a number of star names with Falcao the stand-out name on the teamsheet.

Monaco are favourites for the victory at 5/4 (Betfred) with Nantes at 3/1 (Bet365) and the draw is available at 23/10 (Sportingbet).

Unsurprisingly, Radamel Falcao is favourite to open the scoring at 22/5 (BetVictor), but Nantes’ striker Filip Djordjevic might be a good bet at a more inviting price of 17/2 (BetVictor) after his eight goal haul so far this season.
