A good win last week for Livingston helped double our investment, and we look to kick on by again focusing on the second tier of Scottish football. The outright market is still a relatively tight contest, but after seven rounds of matches, the quality, or lack of, is starting to become increasingly evident.
Falkirk v Queen of the South
A 5-0 thumping from Aberdeen in the Communities League Cup looked to have affected morale at Falkirk, but a late leveller away to a strong Raith side showed their mettle, and I fancy them to confirm their status as title contenders by sweeping aside Queens today. As top scorers in the league, the Bairns have shown an eye for goal, and will look to take advantage of a Queens side who have found consistency their biggest problem since promotion. Three defeats in their last five highlight their defensive frailties, so look to a home win at a very generous 7/5 with William Hill and Bet365.
Cowdenbeath v Dundee
Our good friends the Blue Brazil duly helped us last weekend by continuing their defensive woes at Livingston, and I fancy them to struggle at home today against title chasing Dundee. Despite a positive start last weekend when a Hemmings goal looked to raise spirits, the same defensive lapses allowed Livi to run riot, and Dundee are more than capable of dishing out similar. The Dens men were purring last weekend at home to Morton, having finally found their shooting boots. Back the away side to take the points back to Dundee at 17/20 with William Hill and Coral.
