Live on Sky Sports 4. Kick off: Saturday 7pm
Two struggling sides meet on Saturday evening with both desperately seeking a win, can either side get the victory they need?
Getafe have not won in seven games but came painfully close to ending their winless run last week at home to Granada. The hosts conceded a last minute penalty – their second in the match – to earn their visitors a 2-2 draw.
Hope is offered by the visit of Sevilla whose recent form is only marginally better with one win in seven league games – Getafe remain three points better off than their visitors.
Since hammering Mallorca 5-0 away from home, Sevilla have scored just three goals in six games. Getafe aren’t exactly prolific either. Last week’s tally of two was only the second time in twelve matches the side had scored more than a goal – the other was in a 4-2 defeat against Valencia.
We expect a cagey contest then with both sides lacking confidence in front of goal and it would be a big surprise if Getafe could repeat their 5-1 win in last season’s corresponding fixture. Instead, we are backing a goalless first half at odds of 15/8 with Boylesports.
As well as last year’s comprehensive win, Getafe have triumphed on the last four occasions Sevilla have come to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez so the 15/8 at BetVictor on another home win looks the value bet. The half-time/full-time of a draw at the break with Getafe winning could also prove profitable at odds of 11/2 (BlueSquare).
