Most people would be happy to back Barcelona most weeks but when they’re up against a side from the Spanish 2nd Division that are somewhat out of form then it looks a no-brainer.
To be honest I’d have thought the odds would a bit shorter than the 2/7 on offer at Betfair, 1/4 at SkyBet. Of course it won’t be the same La Liga XI that’ll take to the field for Barca but Tito Villanova will have one eye on a congested fixture list in January, when the return leg is scheduled to be played. So he’ll be keen to put this tie to bed.
With that in mind he’s taken a reasonably strong squad with him to Andalucia. Xavi, Iniesta and Busquets are likely to rested whilst it’s still uncertain if 86-goals Lionel Messi will get the chance to add to his tally. But Alexis Sanchez is expected to make his return upfront, most likely alongside Villa and Tello. The likes of Pique, Alves, Mascherano and Song should also start.
Now… trying to find some value in the game isn’t easy. I fancy Barca to win but it may not be the cricket score you’d think.
So I’ll go with Barcelona to be winning at half-time and full-time at 7/10 with BetVictor.
