It’s been a case of the morning after the night before for Celtic on SPL duty this season. Clearly they’ve punched above their weight in the Champions League and deserve all the plaudits heading their way after qualifying from a difficult group but domestically they’ve yet to get any momentum going.
Fortunately for Neil Lennon he doesn’t need to think about Europe for a few months and I expect the Hoops to now kick on and put some distance between themselves and the chasing pack. That should start with a win at Rugby Park.
Of course Killie have already taken advantage of one of Celtic’s Champions League hangovers when they won 2-0 at Celtic Park following the Bhoys late defeat at the Nou Camp in October and they’re chasing a 3rd win against the SPL champions this year.
A lot will depend on the starting XI put out by Neil Lennon but I think he’ll be determined to go on a run of wins to prove his sides superiority in the SPL. Celtic should land all 3 points at 4/9 (William Hill)
Last time they visited Rugby Park Celtic wrapped up the league title with an emphatic 6-0 win. To win to nil again it’s 6/4 at Ladbrokes.
Powerhouse Victor Wanyama will return after missing out through suspension in midweek and the Kenyan has proven himself to be threat in front of goal. He’s a huge 14/1 to open the scoring with Paddy Power – he’s as short as 7/1 at StanJames! To score anytime Paddy Power again lead the market with a stonking 9/2 but avoid Boylesports’ miserable 15/8.
