Having already qualified from the group who know what we should expect from Arsene Wenger’s side tonight. He’s take a shadow squad with him to Greece and although he says he wants to win the group you get the impression that it’s not top of his priority list at the moment.
He could do with a win though but with up to 9 regulars left at home including Walcott, Podolski, Wilshere, Cazorla, Arteta and Mertesacker it’s going to be down to fringe players to bring the three points back to London.
Even victory may not be enough for the Gunners who have to better Schalke’s result in Montpellier to top the group so I can’t justifiably get behind Arsenal to win this one.
Even Olympiakos are assured of Europa League football so there’s no real motivation for them to win the game either.
In all honesty this game could go either way. Chances are it’ll be pretty dull. And that’s where it might pay to get on the first goal being scored after the 31st minute. With some notable absentees Arsenal simply won’t have the same threat going forward and it could take them a while to get going. William Hill go 5/4 on the first goal coming after 31 minutes.
