Win their two games in hand and Spurs could find themselves tucked neatly in behind Man Utd in third place in the table. Standing in their way first is a stuttering Aston Villa in Monday night’s live game on Sky Sports.

Villa have flattered to deceive at times this season as Alex McLeish has failed to convince many of the home support early into his tenure as Villa boss.
