Bundesliga Betting Round-Up

The Bundesliga goes into week two this weekend with early advantages in the German league still up for grabs.

Freiburg take on Mainz in the first match on Saturday with the home side fancied to take the honours. Freiburg could surprise a lot of people this season as they have a good team spirit and a passionate set of supporter. Mainz have nothing to lose and are rated as the second favourites. Freiburg are 7/5 (Coral) and Mainz are 2/1 (Bet365).

Hamburg have been one of the strongest teams in Germany for a while and they will be intent on wrapping up a league title. They face a difficult match at home to Hertha Berlin who have their own unique history and won’t be any pushovers. Hamburg are odds on at 19/20 (Bet365) while the visitors are rated at 3/1 (SkyBet, William Hill) to win the match.

Hoffenheim face the difficult task of trying to take points from Borussia Dortmund who are another team rated as a strong contender to win the league. Dortmund aren’t always the best starters but look very determined this season. Hoffenheim are 4/1 (William Hill) for the win while Dortmund are odds on at 3/4 (SkyBet).

Nurnberg play Hannover at home for one of the less glamorous matches in the Bundlesiga this weekend. Nurnberg are an underrated side and play some decent football when they are presented with control in a match. Hannover have the slight edge in terms of experience. The home side are 13/10 (Bet365, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power) while 23/10 (BetVictor) looks a great price for the visitors.

Schalke need to play well this season if they are going to finish highly and repeat their champions League heroics. The visitors on this occasion are FC Koln who will have their work cut out to take anything from the match. Schalke are a best price of 4/6 (Coral) to win the match while Koln are 5/1 in a few places on the market such as William Hill and BetVictor

Bayern Munich are one of the strongest teams in Germany and face a difficult match against Wolfsburg. Bayern are a very strong team with a very large squad and the favourites to take the title. Bayern are another of the teams odds on for a win at 10/11 (Coral) and Wolfsburg are 10/3 (BetVictor) to cause an upset.

Monchengladbach take on Stuttgart for the final match of Saturday. The home side have been a Bundesliga outfit for the last few seasons but have really struggled to make progress. Stuttgart will be determined for a high placed finish this season. The home team are 13/8 (Ladbrokes, Paddy Power) while 17/10 (Bet365) on Stuttgart seems very good value.

There are two matches on Sunday, the first being the clash between Kaiserslautern and Augsburg. The visitors are not fancied to do at all well in the German league this season and are one of the sides odds on to be relegated. The home team are 5/6 (Bet365, Blue Sq) for a win while Augsburg are 7/2 (BetVictor).

Bayer Leverkusen face a tricky match against Werder Bremen for the final match of the weekend. Leverkusen are expected to challenge for the title this season but Werder Bremen can beat any team on their day if they play well. Leverkusen are 10/11 (William Hill) and the away team are 100/30 (Coral).
