Here’s this week’s exclusive column from Mr Fixit in association with our friends at McBookie

IT’S a landmark weekend in the history of McBookie.com with the firm turning their attention to the juniors.  For the first time bets will be taken on the top flights in region with singles accepted. The move should prove a popular one and already the firm have seen money piling in on Bo’ness at 1-4 to beat Glenrothes. Paddy Power go 1-7 with William Hill 1-8. So if you fancy a bet have a look at the odds and remember you can mix and match junior and senior sides.

You could put Rangers in there and the Ibrox men are an industry best price to see off Hamilton at home. Walter Smith’s side should bounce back from their shocker at St Johnstone but 1-5 still seems a tad short.

Motherwell, who also lost in midweek, look much better value at home to Falkirk. Craig Brown’s side saw their long unbeaten run come to an end at Dundee United and will be keen to get back on track. The Bairns look doomed now and I’ll be on Well at 8-11. St Mirren take on top-six chasers Hearts at home and this looks a draw.

Celtic travel to Easter Road tomorrow and the venue might not be as tough as usual. Hibs have won just two in 12 and with Neil Lennon at the helm and pushing Celtic on you’ve got to fancy an away that pays 4-6. The Hibees are 9-2 and we’ve seen bigger prices than that landed in the SPL in recent weeks.

The other game tomorrow sees Jimmy Calderwood’s Kilmarnock take on his old side Aberdeen at Rugby Park. Both sides have been struggling but the Dons did claim their first win in 12 games against St Mirren last week. Killie, after six defeats on the bounce, are Falkirk’s closest rivals and could do with the points but again this may be a draw.

On Monday St Johnstone entertain a Dundee United side who are absolutely flying at the moment. The Arabs beat Rangers in the Cup and have netted seven goals in wins against Motherwell and Hibs since then. They look nailed on to clinch third and I’m backing them to win at McDiarmid Park.

The SFL title race has been full of twists and turns in recent weeks with Inverness now in pole position four points clear of Dundee. They can take another leap towards the SPL today by beating Raith Rovers at home. ICT are 1-2. Dundee must win against Ayr to revive their hopes and I’ll risk them at 4-7.

Stirling look best bets at 8-11 against fading Dumbarton in the Second and in the Third Stranraer let us down last week by conceding a last-minute equaliser but back them at Elgin who have lost six in a row. Stranraer are 11-8. Queen’s Park are also on form at the moment and look good at 8-11 to beat Montrose at Hampden.

  • Scottish treble: Motherwell, Stirling, Stranraer
