Bookies Give Levein The Thumbs Up

Scottish firm, McBookie.com has cut Scotland from 7/2 to 3/1 to qualify for Euro 2012 following the appointment of Craig Levein as the new manager. The firm is also offering 5/1 that the team will qualify for Poland and Ukraine without having to go through the play offs.
It’s a big ask for the Scots who haven’t played at a major tournament since the World Cup in France in 1998 and now find themselves in lower ranked seedings groups.
Paul Petrie, McBookie.com spokesman commented, ” As far as we are concerned this is a good appointment for Scotland and increases our chances of making our first major tournament since 1998.”
What do you think of the appointment of Levein? And will it be the spur that sees the Tartan Army dusting down their passports for a trip to Poland and Ukraine?
