Benitez 5/4 to Exit Red’s Hotseat

Is time running out for Rafa Benitez?
7th in the table and 13 points off the top. Just how much more will the Anfield faithful and Boardroom endure before Rafa his asked to leave the building?
Andrei Arshavin’s 58th minutes strike means Liverpool have won just 3 in their last 14 – a run that has seen them crash out of the Champions League and slip out of the top 4 in the Premier League. It all means that the Spaniard is just 5/4 (William Hill) to have left the Red’s hotseat before the end of next season. Hill’s still make him 4/7 to stay in charge of the club: “Still the fans haven’t turned against Rafa so the chances are he will survive – always assuming Liverpool can continue at least challenging for a top four place” said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Surely his number is now up.
Top of the list to replace Benitez is the Special One, Jose Mourinho 15/8 (SkyBet), followed by the King, Kenny Dalglish at 11/4 (SkyBet) Others in the frame are Roberto Mancini (5/1), Guus Hiddink (6/1) and bad news for Aston Villa fans is that Martin O’Neill is just 8/1 (SkyBet).
