Things are definitely on the up for Villa at the moment. Just one defeat in 9 sees them back to the kind of winning form that heralded Martin O’Neill’s arrival in the hot-seat and they’ll fancy another 3 points in today lunch time clash with Wolves at Molineux.

Be wary though as Villa’s two defeats this season have come to teams beneath them in the table (Blackburn & Wigan) whilst they’ve fared well against those in and around the top 6. Perhaps Villa’s counter-attacking style is more suited to playing teams such as Liverpool and Chelsea on the break rather than having to force the play on the opposition.
