£10,000 Challenge: Bet of the Day No.14

It’s Sunday. That means it must be the £10k Challenge. I don’t know why but the lack of domestic footy on a Sunday means I’m always looking for a bet on the Challenge. After recent results in the UK maybe I should just stick to the Challenge and look further afield for some success.

Today I’m going back to Holland and a 2nd Division match between Volendam and bottom of the table Emmen. Volendam appear to have made a slow start to the season but a win today will take them up to mid-table whereas Emmen are rooted to the foot with just 5 points from 11 games.

Historically there’s usually goals when the two sides meet, 7 of the last 8 have finished Over 2.5 goals and Volendam have hit 5,6 and 5 at home to Emmen on their last 3 visits.

Volendam’s last 5 games have seen 18 goals (3.6 per game), whilst for Emment it’s 25 in the last 5 (5.00 per game) so hopefully that trend will continue today.

I rate this an 80% chance of the game finishing Over 2.5 goals. So that means I’m betting 80% of half my balance.
