£10,000 Challenge: Bet of the Day No. 3
£10,000 Challenge | selectabet | August 1, 2009 at 2:00 pm
Any of you out there that followed last season’s doomed £20,000 Challenge will know that I mostly bet on the over/under markets. I enjoyed some early success but as the season went on my system fell apart a bit. Well I’m not giving up on it and today I’m going back into the Estonian Meistrilliga where it seems to rain goals.
Of the games that are being played today the one that looks a prime candidate for finishing overs is between Kalev Sillamae and Flora Tallinn. Kalev have struck 52 goals in 20 games, averaging 2.6 per game. Flora have been slightly less prolific with 32 in 17 (1.8 per game). But it’s when the teams go head-to-head that the goals appear to fly in. They’ve met 6 times in past 16 months and five of those have finished over 2.5 goals, with 25 goals scored in total – that’s an average of 4.16 per match. Finger crossed for more of the same today.
I rate this a 6/10 bet so my stake is £72.
Selection: Kalev Sillamae v Flora Tallinn – Over 2.5 goals. £72 @ 1.60 with Sunderlands.
