Hull v Liverpool: Betting Preview & Tips

Hull v Liverpool – Kick off 3pm

Liverpool have been on an incredible scoring run recently. In their last 7 games they’ve scored 4 against Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal, not to mention the 5 they struck without reply against Villa – so they’re bound to score a barrel-load at Hull, right? Well, I’m not so sure.

Hull may not have been winning too many recently but they’re not losing that many goals – just 13 in the last 12 so I expect this to be tighter than it looks on paper. The Reds will again be without Steven Gerrard and whilst it’s undeniable that he’s a big loss, recent results suggest that they’re no less potent with out him in the side. However, something tells me that Liverpool’s recent run of goals can’t continue and I’m going to have some of Ladbrokes 53/50 on the game finishing under 2.5 goals.

As for the result itself, well you’d have to expect a Liverpool win. But bear in mind Hull managed to scrape out a draw a 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier in the season and the pressure is really on the Reds to win every game after dropping 2 points in midweek. The Tigers may have won just once in 17 matches but they’ll be no pushovers and I can’t get too excited about 2/5 (Betfred, Coral, Expekt, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, SkyBet) on offer for the Liverpool win.

Hull are the right side of evens on the Asian Handicap with a split +1/+1.5 goals of a start and given that Liverpool will take any kind of win I think the 23/20 frome Bet365 is worth a look.

Selectabet’s Top Tip: Under 2.5 Goals – 53/50 at Ladbrokes
