Kauto Can Be a Star Again

The highlight of the day’s racing card is the traditional Boxing Day fixture at Kempton, the King George VI Chase and Paul Nicholls’ super-horse Kauto Star (5/4 Bet365, Betfred, Blue Sq, Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Totesport, William Hill) is bidding for a hat-trick of successes which would equal the great Desert Orchid’s record.
Standing in his way are Our Vic (10/1 Blue, Boylesports, Canbet, Coral), second in the race last year and former Queen Mother Champion Chase winner Voy Por Ustedes (4/1 Boylesports, Ladbrokes, Sportingbet) who tackles three miles for the first time. Snoopy Loopy (20/1 Bet365, Coral, SkyBet) who dramatically Beat Kauto Star to win the Betfair Chase at Haydock will also be fancied by many looking for an upset.
But it’s all about Kauto Star for many of the pundits with Simon Holt of the Sporting Life claiming; “Class act and everything looks right for him to bounce back.” Very few of them seem willing to go against the favourite and it’s easy to see why. He’s raced 19 times over fences, winning 12, finishing second five times and earning almost one and a quarter million pounds in the process. And that’s good enough for me.
I’m not a big punter on the gee gees but I’ll be on Kauto this afternoon, hoping that he can be a Star again.

There is no denying Kauto Star is a brilliant horse, just don’t think the distance will suit again. Most of these runners have lost to each horse so it’s an intriguing one for sure!

Yeah, it looks a good one. They were really talking up Kauto on the Morning Line this morning that’s what tipped it for me.
I might have a wee forecast on Kauto Star and Snoopy Loopy

He looked like he could’ve jumped fences twice the size of those today – except the last of course, my heart was in my mouth with that one!
I got on it at 5/4 this morning and at 11/10 a wee bit later – always nice to see it go off at a shorter price
