Hi Welshy,
Thanks for leaving a comment. I’ll take a coser look at CSKA and let you know
I see Mr Fixit has gone for ‘em as his Super Single though I think that’s probably because he seen Nancy beat Motherwell earlier in the tourney.
A quick glance says 15th in the French league v 2nd in the Russian – arguably the Russian league is stronger (Lyon aside) so initially the (now) 16/5 on CSKA looks big from that simplistic viewpoint. I’ll dig a wee bit deeper shortl.
Hi Richard,
Thanks for dropping by! If you want a link exchange just leave me a comment or email me at selectabet at googlemail dot com
All the best, sb
Lionking,
You’re trier!
I’ll give you that.
Good luck with your picks tonight. I got in too late to get my line on. Work is getting in the way of my punting!
Might not be a bad thing mind you
JP,
Skinny odds on Fixit’s treble again tonight.
I hope Arsenal don’t let you down.
How’s the FTSE bets been going?
Thanks selectabet. I know CSKA only need a point to claim top spot but I just cant see them going for the draw. They have pure attacking potential in Vagner Love n cant see them resting any players as the russian league has just ended, uefa cup is all they have left to play for and they wont have any more games untill next phase in Febuary.
I wouldn’t bet on Valencia! For sure they will be playing with their reserve team. The coach already indicated that the clash against Barcelona on Saturday is more important.
Okay, Club Brugge doesn’t scare any team these days but they have some quality players. Watch out for Sonck, Dirar and Vargas.
Also don’t forget that Valencia is already qualified for the next round. The odds on Club Brugge are also too juicy to ignore. Unibet is offering odds of around 8 for a win!
Just my thoughts!
Cheers,
Dremeber
Thanks for the info dremeber.
I hear what you’re saying about Valencia.
With your knowledge of Belgian footy, do you think Brugge can actually go there and win? 8/1 looks big but I would have thought that Valencia’s second XI would still be pretty good?
Looks like Mr Fixit bombed again.
Dremeber,
Any thought son the Standard v Sampdoria match? 5/2 on Samp looks big.
Samp have won 6 of their last 9.
What do you think?
Welshy,
I can’t see any reason not to fancy CSKA on Thursday except…….
It goes against one of my betting golden rules – never back a team who don’t need to win.
CSKA have already qualified. How motivated will they be to go for the win? or to field a full strength team?
Having said that if Nancy are pushing for a win it might leave room at the back for CSKA to exploit.
Ach, I don’t know!!! I certainly wouldn’t be backing Nancy.
Dremeber,
I just noticed that Valencia haven’t qualified yet.
Group G Pld Pts
St Etienne 3 7
Valencia 2 4
Club Brugge 2 2
København 2 1
Rosenborg 3 1
Looks like it’s all to play for at the Mestalla on Thursday? Might put a different slant on things?
It indeed puts some things in perspective but the odds are just to juicy. Valencia is missing 12 A players. And Club has the potential.
I expect an open game. So also an over bet would be justified.
Standard on the other side. All their players are trying to get a transfer to the big clubs and they are very dangerous on the counter. So they will score at least once. I would go for a draw there. The game go either way so in my eyes the odds are not good enough to place a bet on.
Time will tell I guess.
