Tuesday Nights Betting Tips

With a lot of games on in the Champions League and domestically there’s a wee chance to pick up some nice bets. Here’s my picks for tonight;

Even No. of Goals – Villareal v Man Utd

In three meeting between the two we’ve yet to see a goal. A draw suits both teams so I can’t see either of them busting a gut to get the win. I expect it to be a low scoring draw, maybe even another 0-0 but I’d take the extra insurance of having a 2-0, 3-1 or 4-0 win covered too by having my money on the number of goals being even at 17/20 (Centrebet)

Stockport

One of the form teams in League 1, Stockport, are on a steady climb up the table whilst Brighton look to be heading in the opposite direction. Stockport have good home record against the Seagulls and are the right side of evens at 26/25 (Canbet) to claim a win tonight.

Derby County

The Rams are starting to look more like promotion contenders and have put a good run of results together recently at Pride Park. Preston have done well recently of late but if Derby want to get back into the Premier League they’ll need to win games such as these. Again, they’re nicely priced at 5/4 (Bet365, Ladbrokes, VCBet) to get the win.

Under 2.5 goals – Aalborg v Celtic

The Hoops haven’t scored in 7 away ties in Europe and despite a seemingly adventurous 4-4-2 line up tonight they’ll be happy to keep it tight at the back and hit Aalborg on the break. On Matchday 1 these two fought out a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park and they could just cancel each other out tonight again. Under 2.5 goals is priced at 4/5 (Bet365, BetInternet, Blue Sq, Coral, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power)

James Beattie to score for Sheffield United

Throughout his career it’s been feast or famine for Beattie. He has an uncanny knack of going on scoring runs and he’s scored 5 in the last 4. He’s up against a tough Wolves defence tonight but is reasonable priced at 7/4 (Bet365, William Hill) to score at anytime. You could also go for overs in this one, both teams have been in decent goalscoring form recently and Over 2.5 goals is generously marked up at 10/11 at Blue Sq.
