Sunday’s Live Match Bets

After the big all drew a blank in the Premier League yesterday I’ve had a look at the games that are live on TV today and picked out 4 that I think will finish with Over 2.5 goals.

AZ v Ajax – Live on Setanta Sports at 11.30

An early kick off that’s live on Setanata Sport. Both teams are without their main strikers but history points to goals this one. 7 of the last 9 league meetings have finished with more than 2 goals and AZ have struck 15 in the last 5 home games.

Spurs v Blackburn – Live on Sky Sports 1 at 13.30

As long as Gomes is in between the sticks for Spurs they’re going to concede goals and today will probably be no different. They’ve not kept a clean sheet in the league since Harry’s first game in charge against Bolton  and the 6 games that have followed have seen 29 goals scored (although Gomes wasn’t at fault for all o them) . I expect Spurs to win this one by a single goal in three.

Hamburg v Werder Bremen – Live on Setanta Sports at 16.00

Hamburg have shown good form at home this season, with games there averaging just over 2.5 goals per game. Bremen’s away games have seen almost 4 per match. Bremen don’t seem particularly sound defensively and I expect Hamburg to be able to pick holes in their back line, while going forward Bremen know where the back of the net is too so hopefully we’ll see a few goals in this one.

Barcelona v Getafe. Live on Sky Sports 1 – 18.00

Barca have been in scintillating form this season and have struck 5 or more goals 5 times in the last 8 weeks. Visitors Getafe managed to hold Barca to a 0-0 draw at the Nou Camp last season but having won just once in the last 8 I can see this being a bit of a rout for Mr Messi and co.
