Midweek Football Betting Tips: 30th September

It’s matchday 2 in the UEFA Champions League this week and the 2nd leg of the 1st Round in the UEFA Cup. With a full card of games in the Coca Cola Championship too there’s plenty to get our teeth into and make a few quid.

With 3 British teams in action tonight I think one them looks a real banker. Arsenal host FC Porto and I expect them to land the 3 points in a comfortable win. At 8/15 (William Hill) they should be the first team on the accumulator list.

Celtic are away to La Liga runners-up Villareal looking for their first ever away win in the Champions League. at 17/2 they look a big price and some Hoops fans will be piling in to that. I prefer the 3/4 (Centrebet) on there being fewer than 2.5 goals.

Opposite to that I think there could be goals in the early kick-off where UEFA Cup holders, Zenit, host Real Madrid. Madrid look like lining up with an attacking formation and 5/6 (888 Sport, Betfred, Blue Sq, Stan James) looks generous to me.

At 100/30 (Coral, Ladbrokes) Lyon could be a good bet to get a result at Bayern Munich who have made their worst start to a Bundesliga campaign in over 30 years. Lyon have always performed well at this level and those odds are very tempting.
