Scottish Football League Challenge Cup Betting Tips
Best Bookies, Bookmakers, Fixed Odds, Football, Tipsters | selectabet | July 25, 2008 at 10:54 pmBritish football is officially back today. At last!
The season kicks off with the SFL Challenge Cup and St. Johnstone will be hoping to successfully defend the trophy.
Having read the most excellent thread over at TDP it looks like there’s a few outstanding bets today;
Dundee are many folks idea of potential first division champions and should have too much in their locker today for an Alloa side that already have injury worries before the season even begins. At 4/5 (888 Sport, Bet Direct, Blue Sq, Coral, Paddy Power, SkyBet, Stan James) this looks like a bit of a banker bet to get the season off to flier.
Cowdenbeath should also be too strong for Elgin City. New Blue Brazilian’s boss Danny Lennon has 7 new signings in line for debuts tomorrow, whereas Elgin have yet to add to last season’s squad. Cowdenbeath have won comfortably on 3 of the last 4 trips to Elgin (4-0, 4-0 and 3-0) and so the 5/4 (888 Sport, Bet365, Blue Sq, Boylesports, Coral, Paddy Power) on the away win looks quite attractive.
Last pick for the day is Peterhead. They’re at full strength for the visit of Montrose whilst their guests have a few players missing for this one. There’s a full division between the two sides and the 4/6 at William Hill looks worth taking.
So there you have it. A nice little treble to get the season kicked off; Dundee, Cowdenbeath and Peterhead. A £10 stake would win £65.60 at Paddy Power.
Good luck whatever you’re betting on!
