Players That Aren’t Good Enough and Managers That Don’t Care
Betting, Chit-Chat, Fixed Odds, Football, General Posts | jimmyhillsbeard | September 25, 2007 at 6:29 pmWell that pretty much sums up the Carling Cup for me. Call me an old cynic but when Rafa Benitez says ‘We want to go as far as possible in the Carling Cup, that is for sure’, what he really means is ‘I’ll be putting out a second string and we’ll see how it goes’, otherwise why doesn’t say ‘We want to win the Carling Cup’?
The big boys will still be ‘resting’ quite a few players and giving a game to those who are ’short of match fitness’ – don’t make me laugh. This cup has lost all respect and credibility which makes it a non-event as far as a betting contest goes. There’s no point in referring to form either because with understrength teams its not comparing apples with apples.
No, keep your money in your pocket and wait till the weekend.
