Bet: Moscow for Spartak Against the Hoops

As much as it pains me to say it, I think Celtic could be on the end of yet another away Euro defeat this evening. Their away from in the Champions League proper is abysmal (aside from a creditable extra-time defeat at the San Siro), losing 3 goals in each of their 3 group away games last season.

Tonight they face Russian League leaders, Spartak Moscow who are 20 games into their season. Celtic will be without the outstanding Artur Boruc on a night when they will be under the cosh and I can’t see them getting much out of the game.

Strangely, Celtic would be quite happy with a low scoring defeat, perhaps even snatching an away goal. I was evry tempted by the 5/6 that was largely available pre kick-off but have erred on the side of caution and backed Spartak in the Draw No Bet Market – just in case Celtic get a decent result
